*EDIT/UPDATE: After using a couple spoons one night, not sure what happened but they both turned black and weird. They have 10yr warranty, so need to contact manufacturer, but still... never had ANY flatware, even after 15+ years if use, look like this. Flatware set itself is nice, and delivery via FedEx was a day earlier than expected, but the PACKAGING was a mess. The Flatware box was shipped in another box probably 8-10 times its size for some reason, and when i opened the big, "main" box the entire flatware set had fallen out of its own "branded" box, all the packaging, warranty cards, etc. I guess not a huge deal, but who's packing this stuff??? Looked literally THROWN into the box with different sized bubble wrap thrown in on top. Not WRAPPED in the bubble wrap (literally has wrap in the name). I'm so disappointed. I truly wanted to love these and be in awe of such finery that they were supposed to be. The 18/10 is a good, balanced, heavy feel and the finish is really nice. However, the stamped design is very inconsistent, missing at times and smudged sideways at times, and there's several knicks on the handles. Literally every 5 piece set has multiple problems and it made me wonder if they sold me seconds! How could they possibly pass inspection?? What's worse, is this a replacement for the Mepra Dolce Vita flatware I purchased first, only I would have given that set 3 stars. I feel so frustrated. This is the first time in our married life(19 years) that we picked out and purchased flatware, and it's been disheartening to spend $1000 for what looks like beat up seconds when it was supposed to be fine, quality, family made flatware from Italy!.
