The Contrast collection from Kosta Boda is manufactured using a technique called centrifugation. The technique, invented in Sweden's Kingdom of crystal in the 1950s, creates veils of color inside the glass mass. In combination with the color powder and sticks added during the process, each piece becomes unique. The blue/blue bowl is just beautiful on its own – or why not filled with fruit? This dramatically colorful fruit bowl is handwoven from sisal (cactus) fibers after squeezing out the cactus juice. The sisal is intricately wrapped around grass or banana leaf. Each basket is uniquely different, with no two exactly alike. Each basket has a loop on the back, used to hang on the wall for beautiful decoration.
