I bought three sets of the Mikasa Samantha Gold 12-Piece Dinnerware Set, and I’m very happy with them. The material feels high quality, and the design is elegant . We love this set of Mikasa bone china. We bought it to replace another Mikasa set that has a metal lining on every plate. We specifically wanted one that was dishwasher and microwave safe. The artwork on the plates is beautiful and looks much better in person. The plates are lightweight and much lighter than our equivalent size ceramic plates. They didn't stain after we ate curry on them. We hand washed and also washed them in the dishwasher. They came out perfect both times. If I can edit my review later, I'll try to add some photos. We ordered three sets. One to use daily, another set for guests, and a third set in case we have any accidents.. Howard. Wed Jul 23 2025

The sleek, glossy true-white finish on the dishes will not scratch or fade and is designed to bring the best presentation from any food. As always, use caution when removing dishes from any appliance, as they may become warm, and never put a hot dish directly on a bare surface.

I was specifically looking for oversized meal bowls that had a lower profile and were pure white.
