These dishes are beautiful and seem sturdy and possibly long lasting (I just got them, so time will tell). My one big disappointment is that the salad plate-bowls are 2 primarily red and 2 primarily white for each 4 place settings. In the photos I saw before ordering, I got the impression that the salad plate-bowls were ALL primarily red, which served as a great, eye-pleasing contrast to each place setting. Not so. So when I set the table with the 8 place settings I bought, 4 places will have primarily white salad plate-bowls and 4 places will have primarily white. It will look like I made a weird mistake.
