It's great for the time I used it! It comes in pieces that you stack together, it's quite sturdy once you have the weight of the wine bottles on it and easy to build and take apart since there are no screws or nails involved. I actually stained all the pieces to be a darker color and match my other furniture. I used this for a year or two before upgrading to an actual wine fridge though, because I don't have central AC and there is too much temperature fluctuation in my home for storing wine (especially in the summer, it gets wayyy too hot in my house for wine -- it HAS to be in a fridge). As a side note - since this item arrived in two shipments and two different boxes, just note that the light strip for the stand is packaged inside the box with the fireplace (I thought it was missing because I didn’t pay proper attention to it while unpacking and panicked, reached out to WAYFAIR, and they, in their turn, to the seller, who told me to look in that second box - so, avoid being embarrassed like I was, lol). There are A LOT of parts in this item and it took some time to put it together - a small Allen ranch provided with the package was a huge help but a longer shaft wrench would work better with some inconvenient angles. I wanted a bar that offered plenty of storage and display space without overwhelming the area, and this one fits beautifully. I especially love the combination of open shelving and enclosed storage. There’s room to display our bourbon collection, hang stemware, organize glasses and bar accessories, and still tuck additional bottles and supplies neatly behind the cabinet doors. We were able to create an entire little bourbon bar in a surprisingly small footprint! The black finish and metal details give it a clean, slightly industrial look that works beautifully with our home, while the tall, narrow design draws your eye upward and makes great use of vertical space.
