Beloved for its sophisticated simplicity, versatility, and durability, Lastra is our bestselling collection. The Lastra 4-piece place setting is a wonderful starter kit for a Lastra collection. Lastra’s design was inspired by the circular wooden slabs used for centuries to create the outer mold in cheesemaking throughout Italy. When fashioned together with twine, the hoop was left with a slight overlap to help maintain the shape of the cheese mold. Maestro molder Stefano Roselli incorporates the overlapping detail into the entire design, from its foot to its rim. A dark dusting on the edges of each piece suggests the ash that was used to preserve these cheeses and highlights each unique silhouette.

I love my Incanto Lace dishes, but I was disappointed that the plate size is European and not American (slightly larger). It would be helpful if the website would clarify that. These looked a little different once I received them. I had hoped to mix and match them with the Forma Cloud set but they did not work well together . Unfortunately, the set did not look like the picture shown. However, they are beautiful!! Very nice in person but a little too busy for our family's taste. I was a bit nervous ordering these since they were a little pricey but oh my gosh! They are solid. They aren't too heavy but have a great weight to them. I LOVE THEM!!!! I bought the incanto vietri to mix and match with the forma cloud but they aren't the same color or style. Although they look great in the pics they did not work. The picture must have been edited because they are not the same color at all and do not look well together. Grateful I can return them. So instead I ordered more of the forma cloud. They are perfect for our home. We have 4 children and I did not want thin, flimsy china but these are great every day dinnerware with a little fun edge. Definitely worth the investment. Stoneware has a long legacy in the area and maintains its place of importance in the region today. Signor Stefano Roselli is the master molder for a stoneware cooperative located in a small town seven miles outside of Florence, and he is the creator of this collection. Vietri has worked with Stefano and factory owner Franco Ammannati for close to 15 years, creating and bringing to market dinnerware collections, vases, urns, and other home decor products.

I am a lover of beautiful dishware but after a few sets being beautiful and broken by my husband and kids I decided to try these. They are heavy and most people can't even tell they are melamine - we were entertaining the other day and a mom asked if I had any paper plates for her kids because she didn't want them to break my beautiful plates. 5 stars!
