Orrefors craftsmen and Erika Lagerbielke have long tried to fill Intermezzo's characteristic bubble with golden pigment. Finally, it is there, encased in crystal clear glass – a matte drop shimmering like gold. Intermezzo Old Fashioned, holding 8.5oz, was designed in 1984 and is suitable for serving various spirits or cocktails, with or without alcohol. The glass is mouth-blown in Sweden. The Nobel dinner's very own tableware was designed by Gunnar Cyrén. The Nobel collection was created in connection with the 90th anniversary of the Nobel dinner in 1991, and today award winners and royalties toast with these glasses in Stockholm City Hall every December.
