Kitchen Trash Cans & Recycling On Sale

The trash can looks nice and that's all it has going for it. The sensor is not as sensitive as it should be to pickup motion and to stay open while dumping trash into it. The lid closes very shortly after you wave to open it but needs close proximity to the sensor to detect for open. There are times it would not open until you were about 2 inches from it. The lid also stayed open if your hand was in it and the sensor did not detect your movement while dumping until you waved over the sensor again. I would not recommend this trash can.. Michael. The rectangular stainless-steel can with removable liner bin fits any brand of 13-gallon trash bags. Its convenient design allows it to be placed right against a wall or cabinet, and the fingerprint-resistant finish keeps it clean longer.

We are obsessed with this trash can! So easy, so functional, and really pretty too. The only thing, and almost worth a star, is that we don’t understand why the back isn’t fully flat. The battery of the lid juts out in back, and there is all this extra space behind where the bag and inner compartment rests. Even if the battery pack needs to jut out, they could still easily shave an inch off the depth of this given all the extra space, which would make this even more attractive and perfect. We love it though, just be prepared to know it doesn’t sit fully flush against its backside. If they “fixed” this design element, we’d 100 go buy that model immediately and give it six stars.. Nina. Love my new trash can. The one I had was also from Wayfair, but it was wider and the step to open was in the front. I was tired of retouching the cabinet due to the lid always scuffing it. This one is slim design and taller. Holds the same amount of trash 13 gallons. Only this one opens towards a wall and all I have to do is pull it way from it so it doesn't hit it. I didn't have that option with the other one that is now on by back patio. This is perfect for a small kitchen and not having to give up and trash space. Came quickly too. Upgrade your waste management with this multi-size trash can. Featuring a soft-close lid and smudge-resistant surface, it offers both convenience and style. The inner bucket design ensures easy disposal and helps maintain a clean and organized space.

Compact, fits our space perfectly. It is a standard step-pedal trashcan though the lid opening mechanism is a little flimsy and the lid rocks back and forth a bit after it’s open before stabilizing, especially if you step hard on the pedal (if you step lightly and don’t open it all the way it’s smooth). This 5.3-gallon stainless steel trash can combines compact design with generous capacity, making it perfect for small kitchens, bathrooms, or office spaces. Featuring hands-free foot pedal operation, a lockable lid, and smart design details like a hidden handle and bag lock, it delivers both convenience and hygiene in everyday use.

Having had the trashcan a few days, it seems to be working fine. It looks very nice. It took us a while to figure out how to get the lid to stay open 90°, and there were no instructions for how to accomplish that, but we eventually figured that out. It is a little smaller than we anticipated and that’s probably because the inside can has to be a little smaller to fit in the outside unit. But it looks great and so far is working well.. Donna. Expensive, but great for a different look, no one knows where my garbage is!. Samantha. Stamford, CT. Tue Oct 06 2026

It's a little too large for my kitchen but .. I am keeping it, I'm very happy with the sleek look, matte black, bag doesn't show around the edges..and I'm not constantly emptying it. Nice large opening and the height means no stooping down to scrape plates etc.. Sheila. Penticton, BC. Thu Oct 15 2026

It’s beautiful and functional. I found the perfect sized garbage can at Office Max to go inside. 4 stars because it takes two hands to open and sometimes that’s not ideal when throwing something away. Other than that, highly recommend!. Sarah. Beaverton, OR. Sat Sep 19 2026
