The design of this tea kettle is great BUT it doesn't function very well! The kettle has a whistle that doesn't work. When the water boils, hot steam comes out of the lid and makes the handle hot so you cannot lift the tea kettle to use. I can't imagine making a tea kettle like that! I like it a lot but the whistle is not something I expected. It hummms so if you are in another room or the TV is on, you’ll likely won’t hear it so make sure you pay attention .
