It is NOT SMOKELESS! This thing smokes BIG TIME! I need to put this on my stove under the vent on HIGH or my house would be FILLED WITH SMOKE! Doesn’t get a restaurant quality sear by any means BUT it does cook a steak in about 6-8 min with only about 5 min in preheat time and it is faster and easier than turning on the grill and that mess and much faster than the stove oven and heating the whole house. SO if your short on time and don’t want a mess or a hot house and you have a vent this is for you. Do NOT buy this if you don’t have a vent!
