So far it's a great cutting board. Definitely have to follow the care recommendations for the initial oiling and seasoning for the first week or so. Have been using End Grain Acacia Solid Wood Cutting Board by another brand since December 2024 and it was the best buy I ever made. I purchased this Howard End Grain one as it was on sale and just in case I need a new board in the future. It comes very well packed as you can see in the photos. I have two sizes of cutting boards 17x13 and 15x20 and they are on different sides of my kitchen counters and I do everything on them. It is much better than the plastic cutting board as you can see the plastic coming off the board as you cut your vegetables, meat or chicken on it. I like the set. Looks good on my countertop but most importantly very functional. As I've read in another review, I have a few knife scars, but it doesn't interfere with the functionality. If I were recording myself whipping up meals to share online, I'd probably avoid using these; since I'm not that talented, I have zero issues with the marks - adds character. The finish is not peeling and I don't feel that food safety is an issue as the cuts aren't deep and no visible fragments are getting into my food (should that happen I'd discard immediately). It’s a great medium large size with deep grooves. It’s heavy enough to not slide around but light enough that washing it isn’t too cumbersome. The coloring is a bit splotchy and some areas (the corners of the grooves) could be sanded better. But overall it appears very functional and easy to live with. This was packed well. It is a beautiful end grain cutting board for an amazing price. There is one flaw, a pencil eraser sized shallow hole, along the top edge that is that is in the wood.
