When i ordered this it was not mentioned that it was on backorder. Couldnt cancel as it was 'preparing to ship'. Quality isnt too bad, just not wanting to wait. Got some nicks on the delivery and the magnet isnt very strong. Pluse the slit where the knife handle sits doesnt match with the magnet so its off.

Not only is it extremely functional it looks beautiful on my counter!

I admit to disappointment! The magnetic grip beneath the wood experience is very weak, and I had hoped to store my special knives securely with the tips facing down... This was not possible with this item... Even assuming that it was intended to store knives with the handles at the base, three was no strong grip or a wide/deep enough troush at the base to allow for safe secure storage of my precious good kitchen knives! I will unfortunately be returning my purchase... I hope a redesign is in the works - with a stronger magnet! It looks lovely, but a simple Angeles exposed magnetic metal stand serves the purpose far better in my humble opinion!

This has sat on my counter away from moisture or extreme heat. I have only had it 6 months and it's starting to deteriorate quickly. Pretty disappointed. Don't buy.

The item arrived damaged, the color is not as depicted online, and the magnets are not strong enough to prevent the knives from slipping/sliding (only knives with a wide blade stay in place).

Five knives and a titanium steel fit on the face of the block. I have found that the accessibilty of the knives and the fun of seeing the knives each time I pass them is well worth the cost of the block. Burying knives in a block does not make sense, as they are really works of art. It would be like buying a painting and placing it in a box until you wanted to look at it.

I bought this beautiful knife block as a gift for my grandson who is a professional chef. Needless to say he was speechless. It is so beautiful. He keeps it in his kitchen at his home. Thanks so much. Looking forward to buying the matching pyramid.
