Really happy with the purchase! Does what it needs to do. And is sturdy enough. The instructions were pretty clear with only one or two steps that could have been *slightly* clearer on the direction of a piece etc. one bag of hardware was mislabeled but easily figured out. The drawers are basically those little cube shelf observers with thin wood on the front. But it’s fine. You get what you pay for and it’ll do the job. I appreciate the adjustable shelves and little notches in them so the shelves don’t move as you need to pull shoes out. I also didn’t put the sliding doors on just because I have kids and it’s one less step for them in hopes the shoes actually get put on the shelf. And I think it looks fine without them. Very nice hall bench with storage, pretty much what we needed. However, it was a BEAR to put together (and my husband is super good at putting things together). It took all day, there were a bajillion parts, screws, etc. and the instructions weren't necessarily in order of what goes next. I like how it looks and functions but wish the area up top was deeper for baskets (of hats and gloves). Maybe if the whole thing was deeper, the bench is shallow. I think this hall tree was a good value purchase. It took about 3.5 hours for me and my husband to put together (he assembled the top, while I assembled the bottom). There are a few little spots that have some imperfections (i.e. gaps), but they are barley noticeable. The bench is a reasonable height and seems sturdy and has held up when me or my husband sits on it, with no problem. I love having a drawer.
