The motor feels powerful enough for home cooking and grinds meat quickly when it’s cut into small pieces and slightly chilled. I also appreciated the reverse function, which helps clear any small clogs and keeps things moving smoothly. According to the specs, the grinder can process up to about 3 pounds of meat per minute, which is more than enough for us. What I liked most is how easy it is to get consistent results. The included plates let you choose different grind sizes, and the sausage attachment is a nice bonus if you want to try making your own sausages. Cleaning is also fairly manageable since the parts come apart easily. One thing I would mention for other shoppers is that it works best if the meat is trimmed and cut into smaller pieces before grinding. I was using my neighbors meat grinder that was probably purchased in the 70’s to grind some of my roast that were left from our 1/2 beef. I ran out of hamburger faster and didn’t have anymore. The range of thickness is such a bonus, I love that it has a dial, Im shaving my roast beef but Im slicing my Turkey breast thicker for hot Turkey sandwiches! This slicer has cut through every single cut of meat that I have tried like it was butter! I work this slicer hard and it does not feel like it is struggling at all, the motor is fantastic.
