I bought this because it was small and made of metal, not plastic. I discovered that the base is actually plastic, but is covered by the 'crumb tray'. I am really happy with this dehydrator. It’s a great size, won’t take up a bunch of counter space but still offers a bunch of space inside the dehydrator. I attempted to make beef jerky but I’m sad to say I over-seasoned it a bit so I won’t post it, but practice makes perfect. It’s super easy to adjust the temperature level and adjust it to get that just right cook and tenderness you want. Cleaning it after is pretty simple and there’s a lot of space in there so you don’t need to worry about nooks and crannies.
