City Glass Cake Stand

A large mouth-blown glass dome with a solid walnut base. Clear mouth-blown glass contrasts with the grain of dark walnut for a contemporary finish. A mouth-blown glass dome that fits on its stepped walnut base. A contemporary serving piece for cheese or cakes. Can be placed inside the larger City domes to build a nesting set. Skilled glassblowers gather and blow the glass dome into a wooden mold to create the shape. The rim is melted by a flame to create a soft rounded finish. The board is shaped from American walnut and treated with food-safe oils to bring out the grain and depth of color. The wood is sourced from sustainably-managed forests.
