I am more concerned about function, and that my knives don't break in half when cutting things, than I am about looks, and these knives seem like they will have what it takes to last and serve me well. I do have two nitpicks. The first is that, despite being labeled as dishwasher safe, washing them in the dishwasher dulls the handles in one wash. I did the first wash in the D/W, since there were so many to wash, and probably should not have. The second one is that the block is absolutely gigantic, and I don't think it needs to be as big as it is, even taking the number of knives into consideration. If you have very limited counter space, you will probably want a different set, or to put them away in a drawer or something. This particular set is made in China, but they do seem to be of high quality, aside from the handle finish.

Every day I am more and more glad that we bought these knives! I prep food and cook a LOT! At least once a day Im slicing this this or dicing that. Im totally in love!!!

Blades are sturdy, and the block is beautiful

This knife set is suburb, my only reason for 4 stars is the sheer size of the block ITS HUGE kinda an eye sore. If you typically put knives in your drawer buy this brand but not this particular set. I usually dont like knife blocks and this set is the reason why. Big and bulky if not for that I would be rating this at 5 stars!

The website states that this product is dishwasher safe. I typically hand-wash my knives, but I figured one initial dishwasher cleaning wouldn't hurt. After one wash, the knives were left super dull and some has rust on them. Completely unsatisfied with this expensive purchase.

The block is huge. I love that it sharpens the knives, but wish it was more compact. I also don’t like that the knives don’t sit lined up.

This is a set to have for a lifetime.
