Unlike many multi-layered, annealed glass turntables sold online, our Lazy Susans are made from a single solid sheet of tempered glass — heat-treated for superior strength and safety. Tempered glass is over three times stronger than regular annealed glass, making it more resistant to impact and heat.
At the heart of this design is a custom-engineered architectural-grade bearing, encased in a heavy-duty spun aluminum housing for whisper-quiet, ultra-smooth performance. The base includes anti-skid silicone pads on both the top and bottom to prevent slipping on any hard surface and to keep the glass securely in place — while still allowing easy lift-off for cleaning or lubrication as needed.
Each precision ball bearing is separated by silicone spacers, ensuring silent, friction-free motion. For optimal performance, apply a small amount of silicone oil lubrication before first use for an ultra-smooth, quiet rotation. Silicone Oil is available at Lowes.
