Thought I was getting the motor for rotisserie pretty pricey for skewers

Excellent Rotisserie Basket

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This has been an excellent addition to our Napoleon BBQ. I love using the rotisserie for various meats and putting this Shish-Kebab Skewer onto it really ups the game. Normally skewers need constant attention on the grill and the items usually start falling of the skewers. Spinning them and cooking them with the rear burner allows you just leave them alone and attend to other things. The build and quality is excellent. The blade shape prevents items from spinning on the skewers while spinning. Everything cleans up easily by hand or in the dishwasher. Highly recommended.

I was given this kebab rotisserie for Christmas and thought the t it would be a cool thing to use. Putting it together was not an easy task. My hands could not squeeze the clips and it made it almost impossible to put them all in. Even my husband had trouble. One skewer in particular barely fit and it took us over 10 minutes to get that one to line up with the tiny slots and go in. Loading them with the chicken and veggies was easy as was cooking them. My husband really bought this for himself so that he wouldn’t have to stay out at the bbq constantly turning skewers. When we brought it in, it was not easy to get the skewers out of the two ends as the end part wouldn’t move and we couldn’t get the clip ends to come out as the metal had expanded when heated. Finally we managed to get them out. The kebabs were cooked perfectly. This package should come with detailed instructions and tips. I am not sure if I will go through the hassle again even though it cooked perfect kebabs.

Disappointed by the design. Friends had an older model and it is way better. The main issues are: the skewers are very thick which breaks vegetables in two and does not work well at all with halloumi cubes. They too break and fall on the bbq grill. The design to clip the skewers in the rotator is very fiddly and one of the skewer is realllly hard to align and clip. Overall, debating to return it.

After reviewing on-line instructions for tips, the set worked like a dream on my Napolean barbeque. To top is off the rear burner fired up immediately after not being used for years. Shish-Kebabs were delicious. Also should add that clean up was easy. Thank you Napolean for an experience we will enjoy for years to come.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion. I was very happy to have been selected as a Product Tester for Napoleon and received this product to test and provide an honest review. When the product arrived the box had good weight which told me that the unit was not made of cheap tin. The unit was well packaged and I quickly learned that all of the parts are very sturdy, made with professional/commercial-grade stainless steel. First assembly was fairly easy however one initial concern was the hand strength required to 'pinch' the one end of the skewers into the plate. I think this is a technique issue and will become easier as I use the unit more. While I have many years of BBQ experience I am relatively new to the rotisserie side of cooking. The unit was very straightforward and easy to use. I have barbecued skewers on my grill on many occasions and have had difficulty with round or square skewers holding delicate vegetables, and sticking to the grills. The “bladed” skewer design of this Napoleon unit makes it much easier to load even tender vegetables without splitting and falling off the skewer, and no more sticking! When removing the unit from the bbq after cooking is complete, I stand the unit up on one end to unload the cooked food. The results are incredible! Perfectly grilled meats and vegetables, and no skewers sticking to the grill. This unit makes shish-kebab cooking easy and fun. Clean-up is super easy and storage space after use is minimal. I am looking forward to experimenting with more types of food to BBQ using my Rotisserie Shish-Kebab Skewer Set! I am a long-time Napoleon user and have always trusted Napoleon products to be well built, designed to last a long time. Based on my first impressions and experience with this unit, it will not disappoint. Highly recommend!
