I watched the assembly of this bed. It’s clearly very sturdy, with strong slats and a central heavy board down the middle to support the slats. It’s handsome as well. However, with a modern 12” deep mattress, the headboard only extends 2.5” above the mattress (without any mattress pad or sheets) so it remains to be seen how comfortable this is for sleepers, since the headboard will not provide much support for their pillows. The bed is definitely all hard wood. It’s not the type of hardwood you could sand and refinish in the future. It also arrived without any broken pieces. It’s a pretty bed, but we are giving it a 45 because we wanted something subtle. The bed is kind of big and the headboard is massive. The bed frame is well made for the most part, but there were some flaws. Key issues Some of the screw holes needed force to be aligned. It may have been because I was rushing it and tightening screws of pieces without slowly screwing them in and then going back to tighten once all screws were in place. One of the side rails also had a crack in it which sucked, I can’t really blame the company because they did a good job with packaging but it’s what comes with shipping products, they won’t always survive every bumps on the road. Nonetheless Wayfair offered a 25 discount which made me give in and just keep the bed frame as is instead of replacing it. Also, the spacing of the slats is genuinely horrible. You will want to figure out something to change that or your bed will sag sooner than later. Slats should be around 3-4 inches apart max but these are more like a foot apart. It is insane how the company didn’t just add a few more. You can always figure out how to add more slats, it really wouldn’t be that hard. I ended up using an old frames slats as it fit perfectly (about 61 inches wide and 80 inches long) For me, this frame is most definitely worth it aside from these flaws. 45 stars.. Wasim. US. This is a beautiful, sturdy bed. The wood is solid and while I was putting it together, I felt like this was a piece of furniture that was going to last me a long time, as long as I assembled it well. This package came in three large, heavy pieces that were challenging to move around. I highly recommend assisted delivery if that's an option for you. Assembly instructions were clearer than most and the majority of the connection points and holes were well machined. My only issue is the finish/color.
