This Seagrass bench is an attractive addition to any room. It is of high quality and very sturdy. Only problem I had was that it is NOT the color in the picture. I bought it to go with some brown rattan lamps I have in a bedroom and it is not brown but a very light tan, almost like bleached. This is a really nice bench - with or without the cushion. It's sturdy, comfortable and I love that I will be able to wash and/or change the cushion cover. I purchased the lighter wood color. It looked lovely in the photos, but once I unboxed it, wow, it is so beautiful with lots of nice details, and the quality is incredible. I bought this for a very long entry hall. It will be nice for removing shoes, but once I decorated it, it's such a statement piece that I may move it to the master bedroom. This is a large bench, 18'' H X 48'' W X 20'' D, and solid, weighing almost 40 pounds. This is real wood, and the rattan is soft and tightly wrapped. I mention the rattan because I always worry about hard rattan eventually cracking or breaking. The cushion is very padded and also comfortable. The bench was elegant, sturdy and light/easy to move. However there was a rustic/wooden smell to it, something that can be a feature in a large country house but not something we were necessarily looking for.
