This is a well built little stove. It is made of steel and is put together well. I believe the chimney could be a lot longer, however, that would not allow for it to break down and fit inside the stove for travel. I appreciate the small fire blanket that was provided with this stove it will come in handy! I really enjoy the tine cut outs of fire around the bottom if this stove- thats just fun! The US Stove US1100E-L is a beautiful air tight plate steel wood burning stove with black wood handle door in a black finish. The US1100E-L stove comes with elegant legs base and can heat up to 1,200 sq. ft. with 68,000 BTUs.? A smooth arch door with air washed ceramic glass allows a magnificent view of the burning fire that will enhance any hearth setting. How it works: the primary air inlet at the front of the stove ignites the wood upon start up. Once burning, the secondary air inlet at the rear of the firebox feeds air to the top of the stove through three (3) ignition tubes directly above the wood. The result is that you have ignition, or fire, at the bottom and at the top of the wood stove which, in effect, consumes the wood. This is a very efficient method of getting the most energy possible out of the wood that you are burning. This stove meets the stringent requirements of the EPA certification guidelines.? The US1100E-L replaces the previous Defender wood stove.

I bought this stove 2 years ago and it heats throughout my entire home (1,240 sqft). Ash drawer doesn't catch anything and I also had to modify the bottom choke. Well worth the money. I will start with Wayfarer customer service once I went up the ladder, I was refunded and item picked up. Even bought in October picked up in end of April. I removed from crate and there were no markings on the stove, no testing information no paperwork. Not even a name on wood burner. The pizza oven was maybe large enough to fit a dessert plate and odd angle. Comes out of Colorado, it is against the law to sell a wood burner in USA that has not been tested.
