For now, you have me telling you, that if you are buying this for the Dodge Kitchen Island, and especially if you are putting the wheels on that island which puts the counter at 38" high, consider buying the 30" inch stools, Ok? The Mahogany stools are not as dark as the counter top, but the black would not have matched either, soooo . . . it is what it is; we still love them because they are GORGEOUS !! You will love them too! If you do buy the 24" inch stools, know that they will be easier for your kids to climb into. I couldn't be happier with these solid wood counter chairs! They arrived quickly and were so simple to assemble that I had them ready to use in under an hour. The color is a lovely, warm medium brown that really shows off the wood grain. I was pleasantly surprised by the comfort; the slight indent in the seat provides great support, so there’s no need for extra cushions. They are well-built and sturdy enough to stand up to a busy household (and my cats). They’re also very simple to clean, which is a huge plus.
