I knew that matching the wood color would be difficult and I accepted that there will be differences, I was mainly going for style, and of course, comfort. I think I hit the nail on the head with these Gunnar Mid-Century solid wood dining chairs! These chairs are well constructed, the wood is beautiful and the off-white hand-woven seat is perfect! I really enjoyed (well, honestly, my husband enjoyed) the fact that they did NOT require any assembly! Modern Chair of wood and metal. The box of 2 arrived in good condition. There are 3 pieces to each chair and are easily assembled with one person. The chair is very sturdy and comfortable with the extended arm rests. I wanted an upscale modern natural wood chair that did not look like country and this definitely fit that bill. However, I did not understand that the crossbar beneath the seat on the sides is made of metal not wood like the cross bar in the front and back. This was not apparent to me in the picture. They did a good job matching the paint color of the metal bar to the color of the Wood tone. The sturdiness is probably the result of that metal but not exactly what I had in mind. I wish it was all wood. You can see the metal bars in my pictures. I gave it four star because I love the design but dont like the metal piece as much as I would have liked all wood.. Alesia. These chairs are very nice once fully put together and really help elevate the space with their neutral colors. The assembly process was a bit challenging at first and took some time to figure out, but once assembled, the chairs look great, feel sturdy, and are a nice, versatile color that matches easily with different décor. It’s important to make sure all of the screws are tightened very securely for the best stability. We also found that using a larger screwdriver instead of the small one provided made the assembly much easier. Overall, we’re happy with the quality and final look of these chairs!. Steven.
