It's almost perfect for where I put it. I have a very high (~12') octagonal window in my bedroom, and it's impossible to find a shade that's right for it. But the sun shines in that window right in my eyes and wakes me up at 6am every morning, so I wanted to cover that window without making it look ridiculous. I have white plantation shutters on the lower windows, so it looks nice with those. The reason I didn't give it a higher rating is because there was a choice between "functional" and "non-functional" versions of this cover, but the terms weren't defined. I assumed they meant that functional has moving slats, and non-functional was slats that don't move. So I ordered the functional version to be sure I could close them all the way But what they meant was that functional has holes between the slats (for allowing airflow in an attic, I guess), and non-functional is solid - no holes. I should have gotten the non-functional version, because it would have blocked all the light. But I couldn't wait another day to get rid of that early morning light, so I just installed it right away and started getting the benefit of blocked light in the morning. Wayfair tint review Omg, okay, if I can do this, almost ANYONE can do this! This was window tint stuff was necessary because I live by the beach with south-facing sliding doors that had no blinds when I moved in a few months ago. I ordered it in May 2026. It’s mid-April now and the sun is getting hotter with every passing day. So, I decided today that I need to just bite the bullet and try to do this myself. I hadn’t done it yet because I wasn’t sure what to expect based on the reviews… [Btw, I’m 46 F, single, my dad just passed away (he was great did all the handyman stuff whenever I needed anything) and I do have a brother but he lives 1.5 hours away.] Well, I used a baby shampoo from the Dollar Tree Store to clean the sliders a few days ago. Oh, and I used that brown paper that comes as “filling” in delivery boxes instead of paper towels to clean. Anyway, it only took about 4-5 minutes to cover the first slider door I did! I still can’t believe it! It took about 45 minutes to do the stationary window slider, however. The roll was too wide to fit right up against the window pane so I had to figure out how to cut the roll down to size. I seriously wish i had a little saw because that would have made it soooo much faster easier. Once the roll was narrow enough to put up against the window, it only took about another 5 minutes until it was finished! (I accidentally trimmed off some of the weather stripping, though, so be careful.) And now I’m leaving this review while I’m ordering another roll for my other south facing windows!. Kristen. The product includes a panel, a bracket, and adhesive fixing straps, making installation quick and easy. It has a slot design for flexible installation. It can protect furniture and floors, cool down in summer and keep warm in winter. It is fixed with both magnetic clips and magnetic rods, and the height can be adjusted. It can be machine washed, using mild detergent, and cannot be bleached. It can be turned over for drying or ironed.

These are in the style of a Roman shade, which is a nice concept for covering the glass panel in French Doors. They are magnetic, so easy to position up or drop down. However, instead of some type of metal or sturdy resin material, the “rod” inserts at the back of the shade are cheap plastic tubes which do not fit tightly enough or stay together very well— when inserting to the back of the curtain, the sections come apart. There are several colors to choose from, and the material is lightweight, but blocks even the strong sunlight we have in the desert.
