Exceeded my expectations. It is a lovely bedspread of superior quality. The scalloped edging lends a touch of elegance. The matelassé quilted stitching is subtle and beautiful. Its a bit heavier than I expected but I'm very pleased with it. The 100% cotton is soft and very comfortable. The style fits so wonderfully with my 19th century bedroom furnishings. The colorful adaptation of a classic Indian chintz resembles linen printed fabric with exotic flowers and fauna. Catherine of Braganza, queen of King Charles II of England, brought Portuguese trade routes to the British East India Company, spurring fascination with such Asian goods and fabrics.

Damask, a luxurious fabric, traces its origins to ancient China and gained prominence through its association with Damascus, Syria, a hub for silk trading and weaving during the Middle Ages. Renowned for its intricate patterns woven into the fabric itself, rather than printed, damask embodies elegance and timeless craftsmanship. The original damask from which we drew inspiration is found in the Colonial Williamsburg archives. It was a swatch from a fabric decorator sampler book dating back to the mid-1800's.  The Richmond Damask collection takes further inspiration in the color palette found in Colonial Williamsburg.

The Savannah ensemble marries elegance and comfort seamlessly. Its distressed damask pattern, appears to be softened by time, dances across 100% cotton slub fabric, creating depth and texture. But it’s not just top of the bed—oh no! Savannah boasts eight delightful pieces: the bedding is the center, two elegant pillow shams, 3 reversible filled decorative cushions (playful mix-and-match potential!), and square Euro shams for that touch of European flair. Imagine your bed as a canvas, where dreams and aesthetics intertwine. Disclaimer: Savannah won’t make your coffee, but it’ll make waking up worth it.

Color is gorgeous. Feel is amazing. I can see why it retails for so much - over 1500, if I recall correctly. I paid 750 approximately. I bought a Ralph Lauren comforter also, it retailed for 500, and I was shocked how cheap it seemed in comparison. It’s going back.. Mary. Reno, NV. Thu Sep 10 2026

Our Juliet Matelassé Coverlet is a long time favorite. Its textured basket weave design and garment-washed finish make it soft and sumptuous. Available in five favorite neutrals to go with all of your Peacock Alley bedding. Available in coverlets and shams.

Wow! Love it! I’m now a total peacock alley fan, if you have a king bed, this version (and many other peacock alley versions) have more generous sizing to allow extra drape on the sides. Not too much, it isn’t like a bedspread. Also I love that the Juliet has some give. I have the Hamilton which I love but it has zero give and looks more like a quilt. It’s gorgeous too. It depends on what you are going for. Both are in the luxury bedding category,. Mary. Reno, NV. Sat Oct 10 2026
