Plate of food, your drink or more importantly, a book! That rattan is sturdy and holds up well in our New England weather. I can’t say enough positive things bout the cushions. Repels water, if you spill something or it’s rained on the water just puddles and runs off. The cushions are thick and comfy. The back cushions have a zipper so I can take them off to be washed.
