The cushions are thick enough to be comfortable as well. If this chair is going to be exposed to the elements, you will need a cover. The manufacturer also recommends that it not be left outside in freezing temperatures. That makes sense to me, although the woven fibers of this chair feel to have some kind of protective coating. Really nice quality chair! The bamboo seems to be real bamboo, which is amazing, because most of the “rattan” furniture nowadays seems to be PVC. The only thing I’m second guessing is the white fabric… which may get dirty outside, so I might have to find covers or replace the cushions next year if they don’t survive without getting too dirty.
