Very happy with this purchase. For a dual hose air conditioner I think this is a good middle of the road option for places like where I live (nor cal) where humidity is not an issue. I did try to use a hose attachment which wasn’t readily available for this unit and it did leak. However the bottom drain works perfectly. The caveat with this machine is that you absolutely cannot lose the remote otherwise you cannot operate the unit. You can only turn on and off from the main unit but no operation. The unit is whisper quiet depending on the setting. Even on high, it’s much more quiet than the traditional non inverter units. It’s worth the bump in price. Very quiet compared to most brands I’ve had. I do think it could be a littler cooler on max but it will eventually cooldown the room and maintain good temp after. There are some good features to this air conditioner. It is lightweight and easy to carry and install into the window. It has several modes and the lowest setting makes very little noise. The "quiet" setting is very quiet. It doesn't give the cold cooling feeling that old air conditioners do and feels more like a central air conditioning system. My windows are non standard wide so I had to adjust the installation recommendations. The AC Unit came defective not cooling it was a disaster in a middle of a heatwave. 3 weeks after getting the AC unit we are waiting for parts to be repaired. Also, great that this is a split unit that can also heat in the winter - years ago, we had another pump that wouldn't heat if the temp <31 degrees F, making it pointless.
