The next day I installed them. The larger piece came apart so the glue did not work so I nailed them to the wall. This was definitely worth the wait! This wainscoting was so easy to install, it and was the perfect accent piece for this end wall. I love that it did not need to be nailed onto the wall, so filling nail holes and repainting was not needed. We used a common construction adhesive. Installing wainscoting can be somewhat tedious, but we eventually succeeded. Unfortunately, I miscalculated the height of the wainscoting, which was the exact same as the wall. And you can hang either way. Each is hand crafted from solid wood, hand painted in soft distressed rustic tones. Keep in mind slight variations in color tone, distress marks, etc is normal for a handmade item like this. . They are handmade out of wood and painted in different layers. If you place them outside, I suggest you seal them with a clear polyurethane sealer. This window measures about 23x30 inches.
