I was using my neighbors meat grinder that was probably purchased in the 70’s to grind some of my roast that were left from our 1/2 beef. I ran out of hamburger faster and didn’t have anymore. I was looking for something that could be apples to apples in design, weight and quality. I purchased this one for its design,meat sizes for grinding and the fact it had a storage compartment for them. Not to mention it had good reviews. I bought this so I could slice my own meat. Works great from paper-thin to about a 1/2 inch thick. Also works well with veggies, great for a stir fry. Tip make sure the meat is very cold or slightly frozen ( put it in the freezer for about 45 minutes. And no bones. IT WILL NOT cut through bones. Also, with turkey or chicken, it shaves it instead of slicing on the part you have cut off before. So it is best to leave the turkey or chicken breast whole if you want to slice it.. Paul. US. Really impressed by the way it made making tomato sauce easier than the way I used to do it before. Eliminated the cooking and hand food milling.
