The entire TV stand left me with a lot to be desired. The colour is completely off from the advertisement, the fit and finish is terrible. The left side of the tv stand, as pictured, was completely bowed. I had to tighten the side as much as possible without breaking the soft low quality wood that was used. The finish on the wood is entirely inconsistent and will scratch very easily. Overall, I am quite disappointed with the product especially for 300. I’m not sure I trust this to even hold my TV. Beautiful high quality piece of furniture. The TV stand is hard wood (not MDF), very sturdy, and a lovely walnut color (as pictured online). Fits in perfectly with our decor. However, there was a major problem with the right side panel. The drill holes and recesses for the hinges were off by at least an inch. Thanks to my husband’s expert carpentry skills, he was able to create a workable solution. Otherwise, it would have required disassembling and waiting for a replacement side panel. This defect caused much frustration and interior “hacking” of an otherwise beautiful piece of furniture. Not happy with this major oversight on the part of the manufacturer. This looks good, not cheap particle board. However, I can't give 5 stars because it is so cheaply made. I don't think it's obvious unless you've assembled it. The metal is so thin- two pieces were warped from shipping . The wood is super lightweight pine. You can carve in it with a fingernail. There are already several scuffs on it before assembly. The instructions are poor. We had to take apart and put back together several times because key details were not included. Also, it shows the last step is installing glass doors, but that's impossible to do with the top piece on so I had to take it off to put doors on. There drawer has no rail or fittings , so it doesn't close all the way. In all it's better than mdf , but not worth the $ and I have serious doubts it will hold up long without scratches .. Milo. When I see something described as solid wood I expect the whole thing to be solid wood. The backing is flimsy MDF as are the drawer bottoms. The drawers are extremely delicate I would not purchase this unit to store anything. Assembly took 4 hours (with screw gun) and I’ve built a lot of furniture. There was an improperly constructed hole preventing one of the fasteners working to hold the top on (ultimately not necessary for function, luckily). Nice cabinet that feels a little smaller than expected. It includes white wooden knobs that I switched out with others to coordinate with another furniture piece. For reference, in my photo, the baskets are 16” D x 9” W x 6” H as positioned, to give an idea of what would fit on a shelf.
