Pretty nice and sturdy. It comes in 7 boxes + box with screens and curtains if that’s the model purchased. I wish the assembly instructions were in box one and that the instructions told you where the hardware was, The instructions and hardware are in box 5. Make sure all parts are not damaged before starting assembly especially the key structure parts. Some of my louvers were dented but the didn’t effect my assembly. They were replaced, but it took a week to get the replacements. Wayfair and manufacturer were responsive and easy to deal with but it took time to get the replacement parts. I love this pergola! I had been debating one for years and finally found one with all the features I wanted. We dont have any trees so theres no natural covering, and the backyard gets blasted with sun during the day. This pergola is perfect for manually adjusting the 4 different sections of louvers for the amount of sun wanted. We havent used the curtains or netting yet but I love having the option when needed. We paid for assembly which occurred over 3 days and 3 different crews. Caution- I dont recommend using the included anchors for anchoring to your base, unless your base is absolutely perfectly level. This is overall a nice purchase. We did get a defective piece that had a large cut in the pole, but Wayfair was quick to send a new one. The canopy itself is not well thought out. There’s no way you can just throw it over the top and expect it to stay. We have weaved it through the slats as well as made a few modifications that makes it more functional. Sturdy, but it doesn’t seem like the type of pergola that will last for a significant time. We installed this patio pergola over our concrete slab and it completely changed the feel of the backyard. The frame feels sturdy once anchored down and the size is perfect for a table and grill area. Assembly took some time but the instructions were clear and all the parts lined up correctly. I absolutely love this pergola. It took a good chunk of time to put together, but once it was up, I couldn’t stop admiring it. The galvanized steel roof feels strong and holds up great in rain and wind — no leaks, no rattling, just solid. It’s made our patio look like a whole new space.
