It's a nice cabinet and heavy, but not solid oak as we had thought. It's an oak veneer and not all oak veneer in some spots so if you get unfinished staining doesn't work very well, so we had to paint ours. I like the design. The wood is a bit soft which diminishes the holding power of the screws. This might be an issue later on especially if the cart is full and one moves it around a lot. The finish is of poor quality since it’s a very thin flat finish which allows for dirt and grime to easily stain the surface. I’ll be painting the entire island shortly with an epoxy finish.
