My Maltese sleeps with me and even though he visits a groomer monthly I have found that his nails have picked the material in a couple of spots. This blanket never stated it was dog approved and tbh I expected this as with any waffle blanket . Will definitely purchase again when needed but will dry this blanket on a very low setting.!. Debra.
