This credenza is absolutely beautiful. I was just looking for something decent enough for my office to hold binders and office storage.What I got was a chic piece of statement furniture that is also functional and gives me tons of storage to boot. The color is a deep gray just shy of black. The doors are “fluted” and the handles are a nice soft gold. I kept polishing the front because it looked dusty and then I realized it was a reflection from the handles. The interior shelving is adjustable so there is room for large binders. One long drawer and two short make for adequate space for smaller supplies. I did expect the drawers to be deeper but they are fairly shallow compared to the base. This came in two exceptionally heavy boxes and literally several hundred pieces. I did use the assembly service and it was worth every penny! This thing was a bear but he was a champion! I ordered this 47x16 Mid Century Modern Sideboard Buffet Cabinet for the alcove in my dining area of my downtown high-rise condo for added storage and appearance. I was pleasantly surprised with the high quality look and feel once it was assembled. It is a solid and heavy piece that should be durable for bar dining storage. I did choose to replace the included wood knobs with antiqued brass drawer knobs and have coordinating brass door pulls on order to replace the wood pulls. This hardware replacement really upgraded the look to an even more high end feel to coordinate with the other mid century modern wood pieces in the same area and only cost an extra 12. IMHO, This piece looks a bit smallershorter in person than in the pictures so definitely be aware of the dimensions of the cabinet before ordering and how tallbig of a space you are using it in. I ended up adding 2 in height with swivel levelerextender feet and will add wall decor above it to help make a bigger impact. The cabinet arrived well packed in a very heavy large box that really needs 2 people or a trolley to move. There was a corner of one of the doors that had a small bit of surface damage to the veneer that I was able to fix with a furniture and floor stain marker that I had on hand. There are many pieces that are all labeled and well organized. It took me several hours by myself to assemble. I highly recommend an electric screwdriver for the job especially when installing the back panels. The included directions are pretty clear as long as you pay very close attention to the pictures and direction of all the panels and groves and notches. For the price, the quality and appearance of this cabinet is outstanding and I highly recommend it as a great storage and nice looking accent piece especially for apartmentcondosmall space living. I bought it in walnut. It looks really nice and seems very sturdy. I put it together my self (55F) over the course of a few hours after work with no issues. The only issue I had was that it had a defect in the glaze on front. The manufacturer offered a nice discount, so I decided to keep it. I ordered the walnut 55”. Easy to put together and nice size for my entry. I’ve gotten compliments on it from visitors. Tiny gap in the lower part where the doors meet but no one notices. Failed Instructions!! Step 15 has you attach part 14 to the L/R sides which then have to be connected to the base. If you are assembling this solo you DO NOT want to do this as you then have to lift the thing upright. Unless your outstretched arms are wide enough to grasp both ends you will (as i did) end up with a damaged piece as the screw tears through. Instead you one can easily place the base onto the floor on all 4 feet, THEN attach the L/R sides to the base, and finally fit that piece 14 in. The damage is not visible, but it obviously compromises the structural integrity of the piece should it need to be moved. Failing in instructions, which btw, were missing the last 2 pages. Multiple pieces also had the finish worn/peeling off. However, I got this on a super sale for $204 so despite these failings, I am very pleased overall. Looks amazing.. Alice. Brooklyn, NY. This sideboard was delivered in 2 separate packaged, was securely pack and it was heavy! The instructions to put this together were clear, concise and organized in a way that you did a lot of the tedious stuff upfront, before you put the whole thing together which made the final reveal that much more fun.
