This piece takes quite a while to put together and requires at least 2 adults to do it well. The assembly hardware doesn't fit tighly and easily shows because it is a contrasting color. I do not foresee the bookshelves staying in place with heavy use because the stabilizing pegs are too small for the holes. The swinging feet readily loosen every time you put it up or down. I want to start by saying that my husband left me alone with a drill and an instruction manual and no patience to wait for him. Trust me you need three people. If you don’t use three people, you may wind up in urgent care with a broken finger. luv the versatility of this unit and the ability to add more sections down the road. also love the simple but elegant design, my only dislike was the fact that brown is no longer available, also the instructions indicate that you would need to screw the top shelving unit into the basedrawers. I dislike, putting wood screw holes in the base. They should of designed it where instead of using wood screws, you could use machine screws to take it apart without damaging the wood.. William. LOVE this bookcase in my newly renovated office! This picture was taken before final decor and new office chair were added, but you get the gist! The best part was it was exactly the width of the space, in fact, I think this set ends up a little wider than what is listed. It’s made really well and looks very nice. Make sure you measure properly. It is tall. It looks like a built in. One of mine came with broken tabs on the reversible door and I am waiting for the doors replacement. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.
