Great desk or table that's already assembled right out of the box. This came very quickly once I ordered it and was protectively packaged well. The legs can be extended from the box and it just needs to be flipped up to be immediately useable. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I ordered the black top and it is not black. Its a very, very dark espresso brown and because I was looking to match it up with another black piece, it was noticeable. So if you're looking for a true black top, this isn't it. Ordered this 7 months into working from home and wished I ordered it 6 months ago! No assembly except to attach the heavy duty locking wheel casters -- very easy. I got the white metal frame with walnut top. It's a formica-type covering over MDF so the top is heavy but looks like a decent wood grain top. It has a slightly curved front and so if you prefer a straight edge, you can switch it around. Adjustability: It is easy to fold up and put away but I'm going to leave it assembled. The height adjustment mechanism isn't easily switched. In fact, I've decided to set it at counter height and use a stool instead of trying to make it go up and down. I'm a 58 yo able-bodied woman and getting it up and down with the 2 side latches you can easily pull a muscle if you're not careful. It clicks in various places that you have to feel for. Don't try to adjust it up if you have a lot of stuff on it. Stability: This is not meant for plush carpeting unless you lock the wheels as it will have some wiggle to it. On hard floors, it's perfectly stable and rolls easily around my kitchen, into the hallway, into the den (carpeted) and then tucked into a corner and hidden until Monday. There is no wiggling at all on the table top while I'm typing fast and using my mouse. Design: Clean, simple open design that will blend into any corner or room. Thought about using this as an art table on the weekend or as a second counter during holidays. The mesh shelf underneath is great for papers, files, anything that you don't need on the top of the desk but want to have handy. For a kitchen, I would imagine this would be great for aluminum mixing bowls or trays or even plastic canisters of flour and sugar or cookbooks. Comfort: Very comfortable in the lowest position which is about 1" higher than a regular table. Goes up very high, higher than counter height and is perfectly stable at that height as well. I can go from sitting in my high stool to standing easily. It's wide enough to hold my 15" laptop, keyboard, 17" portable Cocopar monitor on a stand and my mouse. I nudge it close to the kitchen table when I'm going to be doing paperwork. There is a lot of leg and knee room (crossing legs under the desk is absolutely possible). Value: This isn't a $500 pneumatic table that requires an hour of assembly. This also isn't a $79 cheapo rolling cart that is meant for a hospital bed. This is a great value for the money spent. My only knock on this desk is that the table top has a texture with the wood grain that makes writing on paper difficult if theres nothing underneath the sheet of paper. Otherwise, this is a nice moderately sized foldable desk. I really like it! I’d love to give it a 4.5. Assembly was simple. I painted most of it black because it only came in white. My only complaint is that the latch doesn’t match up.
