With this towel warmer’s polished finish and crisp, strong lines, the Metropolitan makes an immediate visual impact in any room. With two groups of five heated bars, this towel warmer has more than enough room to accommodate two large towels (or a bathrobe) to warm or dry them in between uses. The Metropolitan is made from durable stainless steel with a highly polished finish that is both attractive and easy to clean. The Metropolitan is also dual connection, meaning it can be used “as is” to plug into a standard 120 VAC outlet or it can be modified by a licensed electrician to have a hardwired 120 VAC electrical connection. When the Metropolitan is installed with a hardwired electrical connection, its unique design means there is no unattractive and cumbersome cover plate required. Additionally, this towel warmer is extremely safe and is cETLus listed. The Metropolitan comes with an LED power switch and TempSmart overheat protection to prevent the unit’s surface temperature from exceeding 176F (80C). Optional towel warmer controls sold separately.

We had a friend tell us to make sure we put a towel warmer in! So glad we did! The square shape matched all our Square accessories! This particular one can be hot wired or plugged in. So mine just plugs into the wall! You do have to turn it on and off. And it usually take a minute to get warm… (it doesn’t have an emergency to hot turn off in it) so we are going to look for some kind of timer maybe to leave it plugged into. But we do enjoy it!. We've put it on the wall and powered it up and everything seems to be working as it should. I haven't yet measured the surface temperature of the panels but my "touch test" suggests it's at or close to the 158 degree advertised temperature. It also seems solidly built, so I feel confident it will hold up over time. Standard bath towels, first folded in half, fit pretty well, although they hang just a touch over the end. We also did a "hardwired" installation, with the wire running behind the wall to the junction box. This involves a little extra work, including cutting off the plug and stripping the wires, but it provides a "cleaner" look and in my view is worth the effort. My one modest complaint is that the wall anchors that are included don't feel sufficient for long-term hold, particularly on the 4-bar model. I strongly suggest that you find a stud for mounting, and use "wing" style anchors where a stud is not available. This is what we did and it now feels quite solid. Bottom line - I recommend this product.. George. Baltimore. Wed May 27 2026

Smaller than I wanted it will not hold the towels side by side. If your plug is behind the rack there is not enough room for the towels to hang and its a fight to get them on the rack. Also the rack does not heat as well the only area that heats is where the towel is laying across the bar not just touching it. Not very happy with this rack as the bars are too close together its made more for hand towels rather than bath towels.. Christine. Laplace, LA. Wed May 06 2026

The towel warmer has 4 vertical heating rails that all the towels can fit over that one heated rack. As a space saver and a storage solution, it looks neat. When using the heated towel rack, you do not have to wash your towel off for every single user you can wait 4 or 6 days before washing your towel again.

Try nice wall mounted heated towel rack. It’s lightweight so it won’t be too heavy for the wall. I realized that I don’t have a plug near where I want to hang it, so I will need to get an electrician to hardwire it. That is an option. Bonus - it didn’t come packed on styrofoam so there was no huge mess all over my house unpacking it. My only issue is that after looking at the instruction manual, there may be a missing piece. I’ll just contact the vendor if there is.. Rachael. Reading, MA. Sat Oct 26 2024
