The sink was a massive pain in the behind to install. If connecting directly to the wall, the mounting brackets are, I think, 13 inches apart and studs studs are never that narrow. My family ribs me endlessly over my precious sink! It was shipped in the Arc of the Covenant. We had to use an engine hoist outfitted with a support bar to move the piece into position. It came with brackets and parts to hang on the wall, but at 400 pounds, the wall would have had to have been designed with this in mind. Instead, I did a Frankenstein bit to a thrift store oak kitchen table. We built a box out from the wall for plumbing access. Still working on getting the correct pipes and equipment, but I will have my sink eventually! Note for those looking: PLAN! It's ridiculously heavy, but oh so pretty. This sink is perfect in our 1918 home's powder room. We appreciate the reasonable price compared to what it would have cost to get a cabinet, countertop, and sink. The quality is good and our plumber had no issues installing it. However, note that standard pipes don't work; underneath we have to have a black pipe before you get to the prettier chrome pipes we envisioned.
