I can't wait to use these!! They are so pretty, the tree design features yellow, gold, silver, white and aqua colors on the tree and bow. All of the decoration is raised, the white balls have a higher relief than the rest of the decoration.
Here is what you should know about the plates, the white dots on the tree are raised. Noritake (I emailed them) says the plates are more intended for dessert, ideally one would not use any flatware that would have any potential of touching the surface.
