Actually turned out perfect! The box that came was huge, I’m a woman that lives alone so I just opened it right there at my door and brought the pieces up the stairs, was actually pretty easy as took the box straight to the trash. I would recommend a friend helping you put it together as I had to get a chair to hold up the pieces while I hooked the other side. Other than that it only took me maybe an hour total from box at the door to sitting on a complete couch! This is an elegant, firm sofa that was easy to assemble solo, and this is not something I usually do. I did have a friend help me flip it up onto its legs after assembly. The box arrived really beat up, and I had misgivings as I was unwrapping, but the contents were protected. I have now had this sofa for over a year; I slept on it for three months while fostered cats and kittens took over my bedroom. It would work to use it as a daily bed, but it is VERY firm. The blue velvet fabric has held up nicely despite 2 cats (who fortunately, do not scratch it). I have received many compliments on it; it is the focal point of the sitting area. The assembly does take quite a while, especially if youre putting it together by yourself. One thing to note is that parts K1 and K2 were confusing because they werent labeled correctly, and the L and R labels were reversed, so I had to disassemble part of the sofa before I could continue. This is a nice looking sofa at a good price! I like the shape and the fabric. A few things to note: 1) I ordered "brown" but it really reads "gray"; however, the color is pretty neutral so it goes with anything; add some pillows and it looks great; 2) the back is FIRM so you really sit upright on it; this isn't something you sink into; 3) it's really comfortable to lay down on, which is what I wanted. Very simple to put together. Getting the covers on the cushions was a little tricky but after doing two I figured it out quickly.To get rid of the wrinkles others have mentioned,as you are zipping the covers reach inside and adjust the cushion.Try to make sure all corners are filled. Also I bought some strips of velcro to make sure the cushions stay in place. Oh make sure you have a person help with getting the back put in. It makes it a little easier. This couch looks just like the picture but up close it looks even better. It does not look like cheap leather but is a beautiful browntan color with nice detailing.
