It will be nice for removing shoes, but once I decorated it, it's such a statement piece that I may move it to the master bedroom. This is a large bench, 18'' H X 48'' W X 20'' D, and solid, weighing almost 40 pounds. This is real wood, and the rattan is soft and tightly wrapped. I mention the rattan because I always worry about hard rattan eventually cracking or breaking. The cushion is very padded and also comfortable.
