It’s a nice, dense wood, unfinished desk and matching cabinet. I took a star off of the rating because the shipment was missing all three wooden knobs/pulls for the cabinet. I didn’t bother to ask for replacements because I plan to buy some decorative pulls for them anyway, but it was inconvenient that I had to scrounge up some old knobs just to be able to put the drawers in and use it in the meantime.. Received my order a few days ago. Delivery was easy and notification of delivery details were given as promised so didn't have to disrupt my schedule at all. I have not assembled the base yet but inspected for quality. I am pleased to say I am so happy with the quality and the color matches the description.
