This under-sink pull-out trash can is great for keeping the trash out of sight while still having a lid. It was pretty easy to put together, but you do need an electric drill. Once installed, it slides smoothly and feels sturdy. I really like having the trash can out of the way but still covered. In apartments, mice and bugs tend to look for openings around sink pipes, and even storing recycling under there can draw them out. Since the bags are biodegradable, you have to be gentle with putting them into the container. They arent meant to stretch like regular plastic bags. Very solid piece. It was easy enough to install for one person. I had a very deep sink and this bottom assembly works perfect for this space. It even comes with the grey garbage cans. Uhg! I’m once again wishing for 3.5 stars or a 710. Yes, the Rev-A-Shelf does work and their competition is weak, so I keep buying it. I think this is number four for me in the last few years. It works but they cost so much and leave so much to be desired. The main lacking component in this piece is the absolute waste of space above the can which could easily have been a pull-out drawer. If you’re looking at other pieces, my experience says they’re most likely lacking something too. I hope a competitive company that’s actually good enters the market. For now, let me tell you, it’s probably less expensive and better quality to have something custom-made. I’m doing that for another piece in my kitchen and saving money. I just couldn’t find good cans for this one or would’ve done it too. Over time you’ll probably forget how much you spent on Rev-A-Shelf, which is probably more than twice as much as it’s already marked up retail price should be, but, if you pick it and install it correctly, it should work..
