Very pleased with the way this bed came timely and complete with all pieces. Assembly for one person took about 3 hours but most of the holes were prepared and the directions were not bad to follow. The holes for the drawer stop pieces were not drilled, had to measure and drill holes, no problem. The slats had to have the holes drilled first too. Finish on the bed was nice walnut color with no defects. I ordered an 8" mattress for the bed which left about 5 inch railing height around the bed. Appears to be a sturdy wooden bed. We ordered this bed for an autistic 6 year old child for safe enclosure. So far we are happy with this purchase and it turned out as pictured. dec 2025 update: this bed is ok but we have had to repair it twice due to rough kids on the bed. It appears it won't withstand jumping or rough housing on it. The wood split in a couple of places, so we had to replace screws to fix it. And these kids were not heavy kids.
