This chair is a great value. I love the real wood base and the fabric is really nice too (I have the beige linen) The cushions were vacuum packed upon arrival and therefore a bit wrinkled, but I hit them with my hand steamer and that problem was quickly and easily resolved. It was easy to assemble, I did it myself in about 15 minutes. The only negative for me is the screw hole covers. They are plastic which feels cheap for such an otherwise quality piece. I wish they were wood that matched better. Thats why I give it 4 out of 5 stars. I was worried there were no reviews yet, but took a chance. I’ve been looking for a navy blue velvet arm chair that was a mid century modern style, had deep seat, but not too wide for our space (less than 36 inches). The chair is as pictured and also the specs are accurate. However, I should have realized the back is not as high as our old chair but I’ve improvised and added a pillow for me to rest my head. The legs also seem darker than in the pics. It is comfortable to sit in so far and I prefer a firm seat. The back pillow has a zipper so you can take it out to clean or you can change the insert padding and it is reversible. The seat cushion also has a zipper and is removable but you can’t use the other side because it has velcros. Love the deep navy blue color and the soft velvet. Absolutely love this chair! I got as a reading chair, and it is a classic and timeless look. I am 5’2, and it has a deep enough seat to rest my legs on it. It was also extremely easy to assemble. The only downside was the bottom corners had small smudges on them, I am assuming from shipping. I was able to remove with stain remover so wasn’t a big deal and also again on the bottom so unnoticeable. The chair is on the firmer side but think it will soften over time so I don’t mind it! I ordered this chair knowing I probably shouldn’t and was going to send it back. When it arrived I looked at it in the packaging for two days not fully put together. Love the look and feel of this chair! Just arrived (came quickly) and first impressions: it seems solid and well constructed, with clean stitching and nicely finished seams. The fabric (camel chenille) is soft and medium-heavy weight. The arm and back cushions are full and comfortable; the seat cushion is very firm but not uncomfortable and I fully expect it will soften with use. The chair was simple to assemble (just had to screw in the four feet with the provided allen wrench). The camel chenille upholstery has a warm, light tan-grey neutral color. Based on the photos that Wayfair's listing shows, I was concerned that the fabric color would have more obvious greenish hue and while in certain lighting, I get a slight hint of olive green, out of the box and at a glance, the fabric leans truly neutral. (It's definitely not the deep solid color of a typical camel-colored wool coat or leather shoes.) I like this chair so much, I'm thinking of getting a second.. January. WA. Wed Jul 01 2026
