Handmade in the USA, this lamp is handcrafted in the Meyda manufacturing facility at the foothills of the Adirondack Mountain lake country. I can't remember ever being more disappointed in a purchase than I was with this lamp. I debated about purchasing it to begin with because although I am in love with the design, it is definitely pricey at over $500. When the lamp arrived, it felt like a joke. The description of the lamp shade refers to "blue ripple glass" and "brown ripple glass." From what I can tell, "ripple glass" is code for either plastic or plexiglass. That would be fine for an $80 lamp, but for $500+ I was expecting something a lot nicer. In addition, the finial that screws on to the top of the shade is mis-threaded. There was NO way to get that sucker on straight. All in all, I felt like I got the cheap knock off version of the lamp pictured. As far as the item itself, I was expecting something else. It’s described as metal and it’s plastic composite on an intel thin piece of sheet metal or aluminum. It is overall nice for what I need it to do. The only reason for the three stars is not do to the product. It took Wairfair over 10 days to ship this item and I need it sooner. I attempted to cancel the order and was told it was about to ship. Well more days went by and still no shipment. I called again and once again, I was told it’s about to ship.
