The bookcase was fairly easy to put together, though it probably would have gone faster if my dog Unni had not been trying to “help” during assembly. It ended up being a little smaller than I originally expected, but that was on me for not checking the dimensions closely enough before ordering. In the end, it worked out well as a compact bookshelf for the bedroom. One of my favorite features is the built in lighting. The brightness is adjustable, which makes it great for softer nighttime lighting. I personally don’t use the touch slider controls very often because it also comes with a remote, which is honestly really convenient since I can adjust the lights without getting out of bed. Overall, it’s a nice looking shelf with a modern feel and works well for smaller spaces. That said, it made me realize I’ll probably still need to find a larger bookshelf for my living room.. Trisha. Only issues is the packers at the warehouse or manufacture packed it with scuffs in the black paint on multiple parts. I tried to hide them toward the back side. I would send it back for a replacement but Wayfair charges for shipping it back to the price of the item. The carriers beat up the package during transit for sure.
