If this piece is a combination of solid wood and manufactured wood, I sure as heck can't tell the difference. It's a SOLID piece that honestly feels like all natural wood. That wasn't the best part. My husband and I recently moved into a new home and elected to not bring any of our furniture from our prior one. Suffice to say, I have been assembling LOTS and LOTS of furniture and accent pieces. Lots! This one was the easiest to assemble to date. Did it myself and I'm in my late 60's. Piece of cake. And the end result was lovely. The ONLY negative I can think to say is that I wish that there was an access hole in the back of the top white exposed shelf. I bought this for underneath a corner mounted TV and wanted the soundbar to go there. No biggie, I'll just get out my drill and make a hole for the power cord to pass thru. Sigh. It's true. I'm a 67 yr. old petite woman and I just finished assembling this cabinet by myself, using only a screwdriver and it took me about 3 hours. It's very well made, instructions are easy to follow, but I did see the complaints about the difficulty with the doors, but I did not have a problem with the doors. Be aware that if your TV is 55" like in the photo, once you position it on the cabinet the TV legs will hang off either the front or back of the cabinet. Like it was made for us! (When we rarely have that luck lol). Quality - good. A notch above most fiberboard with a nice resilient paint finish. Build difficulty - easy if you have built plenty of furniture items. First time builders might find moderate difficulty.... be careful and use a little help. A nice cabinet for the money, and the built-in LED lighting is a really nice touch! Was also packaged very securely and did not come with any damage. Tips: be careful hammering those little nails when you put the back panel on because it's very easy to be out of alignment and have them poke through and damage the finish on the interior.
